PhD. Maite Ferrando

CEO and expert for the European Commission

Awarded the Extraordinary Graduation Prize in Psychology and holds a PhD with honors (Cum Laude) from the University of Valencia. She also holds a Master’s degree in Cognitive-Behavioral Intervention (Complutense University of Madrid – UCM) and postgraduate training in the Knowledge Society and ICTs (Open University of Catalonia – UOC).

She has built an international research career, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, relevant contributions to European conferences, and research stays at the University of Oslo, the University of Washington, and the University of California, Berkeley (USA).

As a consultant with over 20 years of experience, she provides strategic advice and supports the acquisition of national and European funding for R&D&I project implementation.

She has served as an expert evaluator for the European Commission since 2010, participating in the assessment of research and innovation proposals under various programmes, including the Framework Programmes (FP7, H2020, and Horizon Europe).
