Belén Costa

Senior R&D&I Consultant and Social Science Researcher

Degree in Economics from the University of Valencia, with a stay at the University of Warsaw and an international internship in Liverpool. Official Master’s Degree in Social Problems from the UNED, with Honours in her Master’s Thesis focused on gender inequalities. She has furthered her training in cost-effectiveness modelling of health system interventions at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is currently researching the mental health effects of people experiencing fuel poverty as part of her PhD studies at the University of Valencia.

She has worked as a research technician at INE Chile, where for 4 years she implemented projects focused on the measurement of multidimensional poverty, citizen security and migration. During this period, she also collaborated in the inter-ministerial roundtables for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in that country. In addition, she has been a collaborating teacher for the Provincial Council of Valencia where she taught gender workshops during 2018-2019.

Since 2020, she has been working as a consultant and researcher in social sciences at Kveloce, participating in European projects, mainly in the Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ programmes, while providing technical support in various studies and consultancy services, as well as in the technical drafting of R+D+i proposals for the European Commission.
