Belén Costa
Senior R&D Consultant and Social Science Researcher
She holds a degree in Economics from the University of Valencia, including an academic exchange at the University of Warsaw (Poland). She completed an official Master’s in Social Problems, specialising in gender inequalities, and has furthered her training at the London School of Economics and Political Science, focusing on cost-effectiveness analysis of health interventions. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Valencia, where her research explores the impact of energy poverty on mental health.
Professionally, she has worked at the National Institute of Statistics (INE) of Chile, where she led and implemented projects related to multidimensional poverty measurement, citizen security, and migration. She was also actively involved in supporting and tracking the country’s progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, she has teaching experience with the Provincial Council of Valencia, delivering workshops on gender inequalities.
Since 2020, she has been part of the Kveloce team as a social sciences consultant and researcher, contributing to the implementation of European projects and the development of research studies and consultancy services. She also provides technical support for R&D&I proposal writing for the European Commission programms (Horizon Europe and Erasmus+). She currently serves as Head of the Strategic Planning and Training area.
