Alba Matamoros

Economist specialised in innovation and sustainability, with experience in managing European research projects. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (2018) and an Official Master’s in Economic Policy and Public Economics, both from the University of Valencia. ​

Her areas of expertise include circular economy, social impact assessment, and the economics of sustainability transitions. She is currently completing her PhD at the University of Valencia, where her research focuses on the development of regional models for circular economy adoption.​

Since joining Kveloce in 2018, she has worked on the preparation, implementation, monitoring, and financial reporting of European projects within the Horizon Europe framework, including MatchUp, Agro2Circular and CCRI Knowledge Hub. She currently heads the Project Coordination and Management Department, ensuring that all initiatives are executed as planned and in compliance with European funding requirements.​

In 2024, she joined Knowledge Value Consulting in Belgium, relocating to Brussels to support the launch of several newly funded research projects. This has allowed her to strengthen connections with research institutions, industry partners, and policymakers across the EU.​

Her work spans Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) frameworks, Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA), Life Cycle Costing (LCC), and circular value chains for bio-based materials. She regularly presents at international conferences and contributes to peer-reviewed deliverables and open-access publications.
