The SDG-iLevel project boosts sustainable action with a set of 30 ‘Self-Nudges’ strategies for university staff.
The SDGiLevel project consortium has worked together to develop a self-help toolkit for academic and research staff in universities. This toolkit aims to serve as a catalyst for personal reflection and action, encouraging users to explore their roles within the university system and their potential contributions towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Whether it’s fostering a deeper understanding of one’s impact on campus or igniting a passion for global sustainability, each of the 30 ‘self-nudges’ gently guides users on a journey of self-discovery and commitment to the purpose of sustainability. Join us on this transformative exploration of individual capacity and collective progress towards a better world.
Kveloce, as a partner in the SDGiLevel project, has led the development of this toolkit with the support of the Accrediting Council for Enterprising and Engaged Universities (ACEEU) and the collaboration of the other members of the consortium.
The Self-Nudging Toolkit and its catalogue of nudges are a key component of the SDG-iLevel project, transforming the way university staff engage with and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Designed to serve as a subtle and motivating reminder, it encourages university staff to reflect on the relevance of their work to the SDGs, prompting them to adopt practices that align with sustainable development and apply them to their day-to-day work. As a result, more contributions to the SDGs are generated while staff experience greater satisfaction in their roles.
The Toolkit motivates staff members to imbue their daily activities with a sustainable perspective. By encouraging reflection and conscious action, these tools empower university staff to make tangible contributions to the SDGs, while cultivating a sense of achievement in their roles.
By cultivating a mindset that prioritises the principles of sustainable development, this Toolkit not only empowers individuals to make meaningful contributions, but also lays the foundation for a more inclusive and resilient future.
At a time when the global community is striving to address the most pressing challenges and build a more sustainable world, tools such as those proposed by the SDGiLevel project are essential to build a continued commitment towards achieving the SDGs.
