uring the first months of the project, Kveloce has been responsible for the elaboration of the Public Participation Strategy of the project, in which the measures and activities that will make possible that the scientific and technological knowledge developed in the project is shared with all social sectors (industry and private sector, research and education sector, public administrations and civil society), promoting the exchange of information, interaction and cooperation through co-creation activities have been collected.
With the aim of fostering the acceptance of the circular economy model, raising awareness and informing citizens and promoting the changes in habits necessary for its large-scale adoption, as indicated in the Public Participation Strategy, community activities began last 22nd November at the Alhama de Murcia street market, which will last until October 2023.
As part of these activities, Fundación Primafrio, rwill periodically collect fruit and vegetable waste to be sent to Centro Tecnológico Nacional de la Conserva (CNTC), where research is being carried out into the extraction of active ingredients that can be used in nutritional formulas, cosmetics, food and other high added value products. There will also be an environmental awareness point related to the circular economy.
The first day of the activity was attended by Mariola Guevara, Mayoress of Alhama de Murcia City Council, y Leticia Pareja, Councillor for Commerce.
During the event, Kveloce I+D+i, together with the Primafrio Foundation, explained the objectives of the project to the main collaborators in this activity: the fruit and vegetable sellers in the market. In addition, they were given biodegradable bags in recognition of their collaboration in Agro2Circular, provided by Eversia, an entity participating in the project.
