The Silver Economy Awards, promoted by the SEED Project, aim at catalysing a sustainable and digital European movement within the framework of the Silver Economy through the promotion of innovative solutions contributing to the improvement of the quality of life in elderly people (people over the age of 50 years). In addition, these awards contribute to make more visible the market opportunities addressed to this population group.
A total of 95 proposals presented their candidature between June and December 2017. Among the nominations, initiatives from 22 countries were presented submitted mostly by for-profit entities (63%). After the assessment phase, nine finalists were announced on the awards website.
All finalists will present their innovative solutions in the awards final ceremony, which will be hold in Brussels the next 3rd of May, where the winners will be announced.
Kveloce was pleased to be part of the jury that evaluated the candidacies in terms of innovation, benefit, economic value, maturity of the solution, business model, replicability and scalability. Kveloce wants to congratulate all the participants for the great quality of the presented initiatives, which greatly contribute to improve the elderly people’s quality of life through the active and healthy aging and by all means wishes luck to the finalists.
