Programme: Horizon Europe (GA 101181943)

Date: 2025-2028

ANIPH is an HE project, coordinated by CETEC, focused on developing a value chain for the production of biobased and biodegradable plastics (BBpPs) for use in humanitarian contexts. Its goal is to reduce plastic pollution from fossil-based plastics, particularly in situations such as natural disasters or armed conflicts, where waste management is often not feasible.

The project focuses on the use of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), a biodegradable biopolymer that does not cause microplastic pollution. ANIPH will create products like wound dressings and recyclable water barrier packaging that are biodegradable in relevant environments such as soil, freshwater, and marine ecosystems. It will also use AI tools and digital traceability to predict biodegradation and ensure safe disposal and usage.

We participate in this project as KNOWLEDGE VALUE CONSULTING SRL, our company based in Brussels, and our role will be:

  • Leaders of the design of the SSBD framework
  • Leaders of SSBD implementation
  • Leaders of Public Engagement and capacity building activities
