Kveloce has been awarded the UNE 2026 Award for Standardisation and Innovation, a recognition that highlights our commitment to integrating standardisation into research, development and innovation (R&D&I) projects.
The award was presented during the UNE 2026 General Assembly, held in Madrid as part of the 40th anniversary of the Spanish Association for Standardisation (UNE). This was a particularly significant occasion to recognise the contribution of individuals and organisations working to ensure that standards continue to serve as a tool for progress, competitiveness, sustainability and innovation.
For Kveloce, this award represents a very special recognition. Since our beginnings, we have worked alongside research organisations, companies, public administrations and European consortia to design, develop and implement R&D&I projects capable of generating real impact. Throughout this journey, standardisation has become a key tool for transforming knowledge into practical, transferable and useful solutions for society.
As Maite Ferrando, CEO of Kveloce, highlighted when receiving the award, “many people ask us why the company is called Kveloce. The answer is directly connected to the way we understand innovation: contributing to knowledge, and doing so in an agile, simple and useful way for those who generate science, technology and ideas capable of improving society. This purpose has guided us from the very beginning and continues to shape the way we work today.”
In European R&D&I projects, standardisation helps build bridges between research, the market, public policy and society. It helps organise knowledge, facilitates its transfer, strengthens confidence in results and contributes to ensuring that innovative solutions can be scaled up, replicated and reach a wider impact.
For this reason, at Kveloce we integrate standardisation as part of a broader vision of innovation: innovation that is responsible, collaborative and impact-driven. We do this through our participation in European projects, by supporting consortia, contributing to exploitation and knowledge transfer strategies, and helping research results become tools, methodologies, recommendations and solutions with real value.
This award is also a recognition of the work of the entire Kveloce team and of the trust placed in us by the organisations, partners and projects with whom we collaborate. It encourages us to continue working so that European R&D&I not only generates excellent knowledge, but also ensures that this knowledge can be shared, transferred and applied to address the major social, economic and environmental challenges of our time.
We would like to thank UNE for this recognition and for its ongoing work in promoting standardisation as a driver of shared progress.
