Aleksandra Ross, PhD.

Senior R&D Consultant and Culture Studies Researcher (spec. environmental humanities)

Aleksandra Ross holds a PhD in Cultural and Religious Studies (spec. environmental humanities), defended with honours at the University of Warsaw (2023), reflecting a strong record of academic excellence. Her doctoral research focused on the nature–culture status of post-nuclear spaces, with case studies on the Chernobyl (Ukraine) and Fukushima Daiichi (Japan) nuclear disasters. She has led independent research as Principal Investigator of a project funded by the Polish National Science Centre (2020-2025) and was awarded a Fulbright Junior Research Award (2022–2023), during which she conducted research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She was also a Visiting Researcher at the Linköping University (2020-2021).

 

Her areas of research expertise include environmental humanities, environmental ethics, and climate justice, combined with extensive experience in social sciences and humanities (SSH) methodologies applied to climate change–related topics. Her work is characterised by an interdisciplinary approach and strong analytical and methodological skills.

 

Aleksandra joined Knowledge Value Consulting in Belgium in December 2025 as a Senior Research Consultant. She is involved in the preparation, coordination and implementation of EU-funded Research & Innovation projects, particularly under Horizon Europe framework, contributing to project monitoring, technical coordination, and compliance with contractual and strategic requirements.
