The CCRI Knowledge Hub project, coordinated by Kveloce, continues to consolidate its role as a driver of circular transition in Europe. After launching the first call for interest for regions and cities to access the CCRI Knowledge Hub’s mentoring services, we received a total of 33 applications from various parts of the continent.
A rigorous selection process
ALDA, in its key role in building our community, led the preliminary assessment process to verify the eligibility of applications. Criteria such as the absence of previous participation in the CCRI as a pilot, as well as the letter of intent, were examined.
After this first review, ALDA, together with the Universitat de València (UVEG) and Kveloce, have selected the nine cities and regions that will be part of the Support Pathways mentoring programme. The main selection criteria included:
- Incorporation of new areas into the CCRI network or regions with low representation in the initiative.
- Degree of involvement in circular transition.
- Type of applicant (cities, regions or supranational entities).
After a rigorous evaluation process, these are the regions and cities that have been chosen to participate in the Support Pathways mentoring programme:
- Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole (France)
- Poltava Region (Ukraine)
- Gacko (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
- Samar city, Dnipropetrovsk región (Ukraine)
- Roskovec (Albania)
- Møre and Romsdal fylkeskommune (Norway)
- Skive Municipality (Denmark)
- Central Finland (Finland)
- City of Stavanger (Norway)

A second chance for regions not selected in this first round
The success of this initial call motivates us to continue expanding the CCRI Knowledge Hub community. Therefore, a second selection round is planned before the second half of 2025, which will take the first call as a reference and will be coordinated with CCRI to strengthen networks in strategic territories. In this new phase, a broader scope will be sought and the application period will be extended.
All participating regions and cities, regardless of the outcome, will be informed about upcoming webinars and CCRI Knowledge Hub activities, ensuring their access to key resources to advance the circular transition.
