September is always a pivotal month in the Horizon Europe calendar. Deadlines, intense work, and proposals that condense months of preparation all come together in these decisive weeks. For Kveloce, the balance could not be more positive: a total of 51 proposals in which we were involved.
Of these, 7 were fully drafted by our Grant Writing team, with added value in 4 cases where we also participated as consortium partners, and in 2 where we took on the additional responsibility of coordinating the proposal. In addition, we contributed as specialized partners in another 44 proposals, bringing our expertise in key areas such as impact, communication, and social sciences.
Kveloce’s Added Value in Consortia
Kveloce’s involvement in 51 proposals this September reflects not only the volume of work, but also the diversity and specialization of our roles. Our contribution consistently revolves around the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH), either from a research perspective (social analysis, impact evaluation, and innovative participatory methodologies) or from a consultancy approach within the research funding landscape (dissemination, communication and exploitation, awareness raising, technical-financial management, etc.).
In practice, this means contributing in areas that make a real difference in the evaluation of European projects:
- Stakeholder engagement and user-centred approaches: ensuring that citizens, consumers, institutions, and companies are meaningfully involved, from social acceptance assessments to business modelling and policy recommendations.
- SSbD (Safe and Sustainable by Design): integrating sustainability criteria and assessing indicators across the life cycle, particularly in social (S-LCA) and economic (LCC) dimensions within R&I processes.
- Ethics and data management: ensuring that projects embed ethical principles and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
- Communication, Dissemination & Exploitation (C&D): from strategic dissemination planning to results exploitation.
- FSTP (Financial Support to Third Parties): designing cascade funding mechanisms to maximize project reach and impact.
Leadership in Work Packages (WPs): in several projects, Kveloce has led critical tasks such as analysing socio-psychological factors and qualitative studies, or assessing local needs and supporting strategic development. These roles reinforce our ability to provide an integral perspective that bridges social research with the practical planning of solutions.
We also take on coordination roles, a responsibility that goes far beyond administrative management. Coordinating means shaping and overseeing the overall strategy, ensuring coherence across work packages, and supporting partners in achieving scientific, technical, and impact goals. This strengthens our leadership capacity in complex European consortia and highlights the trust that institutions place in Kveloce to steer transformative projects.
A Team Effort
Behind every proposal lie months of coordination, drafting, and review. The concentrated effort of September was only possible thanks to a multidisciplinary team combining scientific knowledge, strategic vision, and expertise in European project management.
All this coincided with an especially intense period for Kveloce: not only due to the activity of one of our flagship services —ERC support, where we accompany researchers in preparing highly competitive proposals— but also with the simultaneous implementation of 18 ongoing European projects. Among them are two coordinations currently undergoing mid-term reviews, a key milestone for assessing progress and outcomes.
As our team sums up: “Our joint work is not measured only by the number of proposals submitted, but by the impact we seek to generate in each project, strengthening the connection between research, innovation, and society.”
Looking Ahead
The balance of this September confirms Kveloce’s place in the European ecosystem: as a trusted consultancy in Grant Writing and as a strategic partner in R&I projects.
This is just another milestone in a journey that continues. Our work does not end with the submission of these 53 proposals: we are already preparing for the upcoming Horizon Europe calls, with deadlines set for 2025 and 2026. Together with research teams and consortia, we remain committed to turning good ideas into solid, competitive proposals —always with the same goal: to foster research with impact, sustainability, and value for society.
Thank you, team, for your commitment and great work.
